
From the end of May to the end of July the Red Pandas in Nepal provide for offspring.
To avoid disturbing them at this important time, Langtang National Park in the Himalayan region of Nepal has declared the habitat of the Red Pandas as a restricted zone. No humans are allowed to enter this area.
Important for newborns
“They need peaceful environment while reproducing their babies, otherwise, if the environment will be disturbed, they will leave their newborns,” Yubaraj Regmi, Chief Conservation Officer at Langtang National Park, explains the measure to the newspaper Kathmandu Post.
