There is a new star on the children’s book market: the Red Panda. Within a short time another children’s book has been published with a Red Panda in the lead role. The book which is published in German is called “Kleiner Panda Pai – Unterwegs ins Abenteuer” (which could be translated to “Red Panda Pai – On his way to the Adventure”) and is written by Austrian writer Saskia Hula.

An excerpt from the book. Text: Saskia Hula, Illustration: Kerstin Schoene © Loewe Verlag, Bindlach 2016
Hula narrates the tale of the curious Red Panda Pai, who leaves his enclosure – very typical for this species – and explores the zoo. It is also a story about “Who am I?” – a question which is very difficult to answer for a Red Panda.
The wonderful illustrations are made by Kerstin Schoene.
An English version of “Kleiner Panda Pai” isn’t planned yet – but there is a chance for translating the book into Chinese, says Saskia Hula. You can buy a copy of the original German version „Kleiner Panda Pai – Unterwegs ins Abenteuer“ directly from Loewe Verlag here.
Saskia Hula lives and works in Vienna. On www.saskia-hula.at you can find out more about her books.
