Detroit Zoo: Red Pandas protected from wild Coyote

The unexpected visit of a wild coyote on Monday morning has been a cause for nervosity at the Detroit Zoo.  For a short time the zoo was closed for visitors.

The coyote is still looking for food. The Red Pandas are considered as particularly interesting prey. Due to safety reasons they are currently being sheltered indoors.
