Drusillas Park in East Sussex (UK) is looking again for bamboo for its Red Pandas Mulan and Maja.
Each of the Red Pandas eats up to two kilograms of bamboo a day — that’s about 20,000 leaves. The zoo’s own bamboo plantation cannot always cover this demand. That is why Drusillas Park is asking for donations of bamboo from the public.
Any type of bamboo is welcome, as long as the plants are fresh and healthy. Black bamboo is particularly popular with Mulan and Maja.
