With a population of less than 10,000 adult animals, the protection of the Red Panda is an important task. There are enough dangers for this species: Besides illegal hunting and trade on the black market, forest clearing and climate change, among other things, endanger the existence of these animals. So, it’s time to take care of the Red Pandas.

For the 12th International Red Panda Day, the Red Panda Network has collected some facts about Red Pandas.

On and around International Red Panda Day, many zoos and institutions invite you to get to know the Red Panda better. You can find the first events here, more will be added in the coming days.
