
Police officers in Surkhet district (about 370 kilometers west of Nepal’s capital Kathmandu) have arrested four suspects who were carrying the skin of a Red Panda, MyRepública reports. They are accused of killing the animal in the adjacent district of Dailekh. According to the police, the suspects wanted to sell the fur for 400,000 rupees.
In the neighboring district of Jajarkot, the police confiscated two Red Panda skins, writes Khabarhub. The suspect also wanted to sell the fur on the black market.
