Male Red Panda Gérard has kept the fire department of the Czech city of Olomouc busy. The animal had escaped from its enclosure at Olomouc Zoo in early December 2021 and settled on a 12-meter-high tree in the middle of the enclosure for chamois. After some difficulties, Gerard was recovered unharmed, the fire department reports on its website (in Czech).
