International Red Panda Day will be celebrated on Saturday, September 17, 2022. The aim of this day is to generate more awareness for the protection of the Red Panda and to raise funds for conservation projects – for example here: [Red Panda Network – Givebutter]

A Very Special Day

Red Panda Day might get a special boost this year: On the one hand, it coincides with the 15th anniversary of the Red Panda Network. And on the other hand, the species has gained new fans thanks to the highly successful movie Turning Red.

Numerous zoos and institutions offer lectures, and celebrations around the International Red Panda Day. An overview of the most important events can be found here – this list will be continuously updated until September 17, 2022.

Zoo Atlanta
Saturday, September 17, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

The zoo offers a diverse program for IRPD2022 – among other things, animal keepers are available for questions and answers and young visitors have the opportunity to become a Red Panda Ranger. Zoo Atlanta is also dedicating its social media accounts to red pandas on this day.

Sunday, September 18, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
