Red Panda mother Mei Mei gave birth to a pair of cubs at Nashville Zoo on June 16.
“This is the second Red Panda birth at Nashville Zoo, and the first litter for Mei Mei, ” said Jennifer Wu, carnivore keeper.
The keepers were able to track Mei Mei’s pregnancy progress with ultrasound scans during her training sessions and has also equipped the nest boxes with two webcams to see the birth and to give proper care without having to disturb mother and cubs.
